Cute Race Car Drivers
Is it really that hard to say the alphabet backward? Apparently, for Team Penske’s NASCAR and IndyCar drivers, that answer is a solid yes.
With the exception of IndyCar driver Will Power — who who impressively rattled off every letter in perfect, backward order — these guys failed miserably.
NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney wasn’t terrible, getting more than halfway though the alphabet, while Joey Logano made a wild jump from P to L.
On the IndyCar side Hélio Castroneves gave up after Z, while Josef Newgarden and Simon Pagenaud didn’t get past the first — or really, last — four letters. Pagenaud tried to use being from France as an excuse, and he even attempted it in his native language but still forgot X.
Most people probably can’t do this as fast as Power did, but it’s really not that hard. If you could once text without looking (before autocorrect), then simply picture the buttons on a flip phone circa 2006 and see how far you can get.
